- We provide support in the financial transaction.
- We provide security mechanisms in which we request proof of identity of the guests and help review the insurance documents provided by the host.
- The guest is legally responsible to eliminate costs caused by them.
- Facilitate a security deposit
- Necessary documents and proof of identity
- Proof of valid car insurance
- Valid identification. Passport, driver’s license or a national identity card are valid identification documents.
- Road tax will be reviewed by guest when receiving the car.
- Identification must be shown to the host when the guest receives the car keys.

- Host shall review that the name of the booking matches the guest’s identification documents. If not, the vehicle should not be leased until identification can be presented. If the guest fails to present valid identification documents, there will be no refund for the booking.
- Vehicle standard
For the guest’s safety the vehicle could only be leased if the vehicle has the following basic functions:
- Back mirrors
- Reliable brakes
- Reliable tires
- Reliable engine
- Reliable battery
The guest reserves the right to receive a full refund of the booking if the host fails to provide the above basic functions. For a full refund to be possible the guest has to report the failure to rentmemoto.com within the first 2 hours of the booking. After 2 hours of the booking the incident will be handled as described in section 9.Vehicular dysfunction.
- Payment online for the booking of the car and the security deposit.
- The cardholders name must match the identity of the guest. If you book a vehicle via rentmemoto.com you will have to use your own credit or debit card for your payment.
- Security deposit
Rentmemoto.com will collect and hold a security deposit from the guest made by credit or debit card when booking and making a payment online. The rate of the security deposit will be set by the host based on make/brand, model and condition of the vehicle. Rentmemoto.com will return the security deposit after the host has inspected and approved the condition of the vehicle and has confirmed it is in the same condition as when it was leased and returned on time. It is highly encouraged that the guest takes pictures and documents the condition in which the vehicle was when given and take pictures and document the condition in which the vehicle was when returned. The security deposit will only be returned in full to the guest if the host approves the vehicles condition. The security deposit is to be used to offset any necessary expense in the event that the vehicle is damaged or not returned in the condition in which it was given.
- Vehicular accident
In the event of an accident or any damages to the vehicle being caused by others the guest should call the police for a police report to document that the damage is the result of someone else’s negligence. However, in the event that the damage cannot be covered by the hosts private car insurance, the guest risks losing part of the security deposit as the host has to cover the costs to damages made since the incident happened while the vehicle is in the guests care, thus the cost will be splited between the two parties. In the event that the vehicle damage is result of the guests negligence and the hosts private car insurance is not enough, the guests security deposit will be used to cover the host’s vehicle repair costs, if there is any amount left from the security deposit, it will be returned to the guest.
To prove that the damages to the vehicle were not done by the guest’s negligence, a police report with proof that it was not needs to be presented to rentmemoto.com.
- Other damages or misuse
The guest is responsible to return the vehicle in the condition in which it was received, it is the guest’s responsible to use the vehicle for the personal use of the guest whose name is in the booking, the host may hire a personal driver to drive the vehicle but the guest will bear all responsibilities for the vehicle and must ensure the driver is licensed and is an experienced and careful driver as the guest will be held liable for the use of the vehicle regardless if he or she was not the driver at the time of any accident.
The vehicle is not for commercial use, the vehicle cannot be used as taxi, uber, or any other type of commercial transportation or any other improper use that could not be regarded as for personal use. The guest should use common sense and prudence when using the vehicle to reduce risk of damage or theft of vehicle and vehicle parts. Such as leaving keys in the running vehicle while the vehicle is unoccupied. The car shall be parked in safe areas to ensure that the vehicle nor vehicle parts will not be stolen, the vehicles safe use and safe return is the sole responsibility of the guest.
- Return policy
If the guest has not returned the vehicle in accordance with the end time of the booking, rentmemoto.com has the right to keep parts of or the whole amount of the security deposit. The amount will be given to the host.
If the vehicle is returned more than 3 hours later than the end time of the booking, rentmemoto.com will keep 100$ from the security deposit and the amount will be given to the host.
If the vehicle is returned the next day, rentmemoto.com will keep the whole amount of the security deposit and it will be given to the host.
If the vehicle is not returned at all within the first or second day from the end time of the booking, rentmemoto.com reserves the right to charge a approximate amount that resembles the value of the vehicle on the credit or debit card used for the booking. Rentmemoto.com will also immediately report to the police that the car has been stolen.
- Vehicular dysfunction
If the vehicle is not functioning as expected and has not been reported within the first 2 hours of the booking. Contact the host and rentmemoto.com as soon as possible regarding the incident. Rentmemoto.com and the host will attempt to do our best to solve the problem. The guest will be refunded for the time of the booking that the vehicle could not be used. Rentmemoto.com will also provide assistance in finding another vehicle for the guest if the initial vehicle no longer could be used for the duration of the booking.
10. Cancellation terms
The guest is allowed to cancel the booking 48 hours prior to the start of the booking. If the booking is cancelled 48 hours prior to the booking a full refund including the security deposit will be given back to the guest. If the booking is cancelled within 48 hours before the start of the booking, rentmemoto.com will keep 25% of the total booking price excluding the security deposit. The rest of the amount will be refunded to the guest. The amount of the 25% fee will be paid to the host as compensation.
